Philadelphia's 6abc Dunkin' Thanksgiving Day Parade is the longest-running Thanksgiving Day parade in the country. Take that, Macy's! Fighting words aside, I had the opportunity to work directly with 6abc, the parade's primary sponsor and official telecaster, to activate a special opening number featuring an Interstate double decker bus. Wrapped in branded copy, the double decker was featured on Good Morning America before entering the parade procession, where it headlined the opening number. Augmenting the experience (pun intended, keep reading), the wrap included a Virtual View graphic, which live spectators and TV viewers could scan using the Junaio AR app to enjoy an animated 6abc mascot drinking Dunkin' coffee. The activation was a big success and replicated for years to follow.
